Whyyyy do you always have to pay for this sort of thing?! Can't they just make us happy with a huge world-tour instead?!

Yeah! But maybe if lots of people join the group they might realise we want to see them and it wont be a waste of money to do a worldwide tour!

yeah, but I can't really afford to become a member.... D: And if lots of fans can't afford it, then it won't work the way you want it to >.<

kiyomiIt's very common for visual kei bands to have paid fanclubs. There are perks to paying, like exclusive events, tickets, newsletters, information, photos, videos, blahbalhrala. The price is more or less the same for Japanese fans; actually, because you gain access to all of the bands on the label, international membership is much, much cheaper. I definitely do sympathize with not being able to afford it, though, because I can't afford it either. T^T Anyway, the point of the fanclub is really not to please the fans, but to earn money for the band. They do definitely make an effort to reward the fans who spend that extra money, but that is not their main goal... so anyone who signs up at all is pretty much making the fanclub work the way it's supposed to. lol.
